Recently in my class, we just finished an editing project about a word. The directions for this were to make a film about a specific word without audio and we had to use a variety of shots, angles and editing techniques in the movie. The film also needed a storyline and not just be a montage, Brainstorming and storyboarding had to also be done. The film had to be 1-1:30 minutes and it had to have a clear illustration of the word. The word my partner and I received was "Reminiscent", which means to remember something. During brainstorming, my partner and I discussed about the ways in which we could make a representation of the word and went through many ideas and decided to do the one that best suited us. The storyboarding helped us a lot to determine what shots to film and gave us an idea of what to do. It helped us have a clear visualization of our thoughts and plans. I think we used a great variety of shots and angles which helped make our movie better, the planning and thought process was also clear. I think we could have edited better to enhance the project and make it seem more professional. We used an app called Movavi editor to help us put together the clips.
